Star Wars (Cockpit)

I picked up a Star Wars cockpit locally for dirt cheap. A local collector picked it up, along with a number of other cabs, in a bulk deal. He decided he wasn't going to restore it so he did me a solid and called me up and sold it to me for what he paid for it! The cab was complete and in good condition. It contained the full harness, the coin door/box, the yoke controller (needing repair), and best of all the original 25" Amplifone compatible CRT!! The idea when i picked it up was to pull the guts out of the Upright and drop them in this. Once I got it home I decided against that plan of action and figured I'd simply restore the cockpit then sell the upright. The thing is in great shape overall… especially considering it's serial #45! It needs (a) Star Wars PCBs, (b) Amplifone PCBs, and (c) ARII-002 PCB. Other than that, she's complete. (OH! I also need to make a new back door too.)
So after acquiring the SW PCB's, a working AMP PCB set, and an ARII I put it all together to be greeted with a screen that looks like this. After a bit of consultation on KLOV it was determined that the green gun was shorted to the heater and that I should try to rejuvinate the tube. I tested the Amplifone boards to make sure the tube was causing the problems on a 19" Amp compatible tube that I got in the deal for the PCBs. As you can clearly see, the 25" tube has issues. After borrowing a rejuvinator from a local collector, with little hope I attached it to the 25" tube. After testing and determining that all 3 guns were shorted to the heater I ran all 3 through a level 1 rejuv. I tested and found that the intense green was gone!!! But all the colors were weak. After consultation from a few at KLOV I hit all 3 guns with level 1 rejuv again… SURE AS HELL IT WORKED!! To say I was thrilled is an undstatement!! Of course this shot is over exposed hence the blur…
