Attract-Mode Layout – Diamondplate IV
Diamondplate was the first layout I did on my own last year. Diamondplate 2 brought a few more features to the mix and this version, Diamondplate III again brought more features to the layout and with Diamondplate IV not only did I squash a couple small bugs (my apologies for the “games list in the marquee window” bug… this didn’t present itself if you use a NO MARQUEE placeholder (which I do)… i was quite surprised to see the games list peeking in to the marquee window area when no art was present), but I also added controller and button info panels and I increased the size of all four info panels to be easier to read on a standard res screen. If you’re a fan of the last three versions of Diamondplate, this is a worthy upgrade if even to just fix the bug. If you’re not familiar with this layout, I encourage you to give it a try. It was originally created to use in my Capcom Anthology arcade machine and has a decidedly Capcom-esque theme, though it can be used for just about any system considering how many skins are included. This is a horizontal oriented theme.
