Another excellent horizontal layout for Attract-Mode
SDAMax II is an excellent front-end layout to use for both vertical and horizontal oriented arcade machines. The idea for SDAMax came when I decided to implement a “full screen” option for the SDArcade layout … however, with some of the additions I’d made to the SDArcade layout, I decided the best plan of action was to create a “fork” of sorts and flesh the idea out as it’s own separate layout. This is the result. The layout works great in both horizontal and vertical modes (changeable via the settings menu). I invite you to give SDAMax II a try!
The idea for SDAMax came when I decided to implement a “full screen” option for the latest update to the SDArcade layout … however, with some of the additions I’ve made (and will be making) to the SDArcade layout, I decided to flesh the idea out as it’s own separate layout. This is the ..
SDArcade is the PERFECT Attract-Mode front end theme for lower resolution arcade monitor setups and this newest version adds plenty of options to customize your front end the way you want to! Originally made by JediOne for the PC version of Attract-Mode in the vein of the ArcadeSD arcade multigame system, Dee2er converted it for use ..
SDARCADE v2.2: The original SDARCADE theme is one of the first I used with my arcade cabinet and one I really like. It was originally created by Jedione over at the attract-mode forums who was inspired by the ArcadeSD’s front end, but it didn’t work with the Pi. Dee2er modified the theme to work with the ..
SDArcade is the PERFECT Attract-Mode front end theme for lower resolution arcade monitor setups. SHUFFLE: A simple general-themed layout that utilizes the conveyor_helper modules “Coverflow” option that enables art components to “shuffle” … in this case, the video snaps. It’s a pretty cool animation effect and was quite surprised at how well even the Pi 3 handles it. All modules necessary are implemented in to the layout itself so ..
Shuffle & Slide is an attract-mode layout designed with low-resolution arcade monitors in mind
VERTICAL SPHERE: This theme actually started as a Data East Logo. If you look at the shape of the circle and then the marquee section below, you can see it. It features what I think is a pretty cool “sphere” effect for the preview videos. Marquees slide across the bottom left and right smoothly thanks ..
NOW LOADING is a plug-in for attract mode that was born of necessity. I was having an issue with my newly built MAME PC rig oddly “freezing” right at selection before going to a black screen. Even using the fadetogame plugin, for whatever reason, with my video card plus CRTEmudriver plus Attract-Mode, at selection it ..
Manufactured by Midway Manufacturing Co., (c)1983 Condition When Purchased: B– Current Condition: B The first time I saw this particular Baby Pac Man was at a local friends place. He'd picked up a decent sized lot of games (barn finds) and was selling off the vids to make room. I ended up picking up 3 ..
Manufactured by Atari (c)1980 Condition When Purchased: C+ Current Condition: B+ Battlezone… my nemesis. The is the single biggest pain in the ass cabinet I’ve owned. I have had this games PCB out on the bench more times than I can count trying to track down an issue that caused the monitor to go crazy ..
Many of you may (or may not) have read my write up for the Capcom Anthology cabinet that I have in the arcade. It's running Darksoft's multi CPS2 kit in it, and until recently, I've also been running a Pandora's Box (first it was a PB3 then more recently a PB4) with all games disabled ..
Again I have somehow managed to "fill" the garagecade to the point where nothing else will fit. I had said I wasn't going to do it again… but it's amazing just how much room a Jurassic Park Lost World … and a Dynamo Showcase cabinet take up. This, on top of the fact that I'd just ..
