Marble Madness

This Atari System I cabinet started life as an Indiana Jones… and was still an Indy when I took possession. Over the course of about 6 months I acquired a Marble Madness kit and Road Blasters kit for it. Then in January 2011 I traded the Indiana Jones and Road Blasters kits leaving the Marble Madness kit in the cab. I found that I don't swap out kits much at all.

I picked this Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom Atari System 1 cabinet for a steal. The monitor was shot (blown small fuse) but it played blind. Overall the cabinet is in decent shape. Of course the Atari System 1 side art is gone… and unfortunately there is a small hole in the control panel overlay (there is no repro CPO available). Add a rebuilt Electrohome G07 chassis and you have a working game! The marquee had a bad ballast (as determined when I blew a perfectly good bulb)… that has since been fixed. I picked up a Marble Madness kit for a very good price. Marble Madness is probably my favorite System I game. It works great and even came with a couple trackball bearing replacement kits. I picked up a Road Blasters kit bringing the total # of System 1 kits I have to 3. Overall I am happy with how she came out. The dark blue t-molding was a little "meh" at first but I've grown to like it.

This arcade video game was sold to Steve at Grinkers (a local arcade located in Eagle, ID)… so I can go play it anytime I want.
